5 Idea's to Make Your Wedding Exceptional!

Valentine's Day is right around the corner, and then comes Spring.  What a wonderful time of the year to plan a wedding!  Here are some great ideas to consider, to add some "flare" to  your wedding:

1.  Instead of the traditional father (or loved one) walking bride down the aisle to "Here Comes the Bride" also known as the"Wedding March",  walk down the isle to a different beat.  Some suggestions are:  "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo'ole; "At Last" by Etta James; "So This Is Love" from the Walt Disney Film "Cinderella".

2.  While the bride is walking down the isle, if she doesn't have a long train on her dress, have her and her father or loved one that is walking her down, slow dance with a little twirl, or a dip before she is given away to the groom.

3.  Instead of having your back to your guests during the wedding ceremony, once the bride is given to the groom, both of you turn around and face your friends and family during the ceremony as you say your vows, and your "I do's".  Your guests can hear you a little better as you say your words of lasting love to one another and your videographer and photographer can get some great photos!

4.  Buy some biodegradable helium balloons, with biodegradable string. Right after you are announced husband and wife, have your wedding party each grab a set of these balloons and stand with you as you are congratulated by friends and family.  When your guests have all walked through the line, grab your set of balloons, make one wish and have a countdown with your wedding party and guests and release the balloons in the air!

5.  When walking in to your reception, and your wedding party is being announced, have them do a fun, playful dance as they are introduced.  Each couple can be different, but with the same music! And when the bride and groom walk in, have the groom carry the bride (or even visa verse), or learn a little dance of your own and kick your reception off to a wonderful evening!
